Personal TrainingEach LOA Fitness for Women Center offers Certified Personal Trainers available to instruct you on proper form, suggest an appropriate workout or provide motivation. Personal Training is offered at an additional fee*, however, if you are new to fitness or just need guidance in achieving your fitness goals, our trainers are there with you every step of the way.

    I have trained 8 months (so far) with Arlene Diamond: I walked into LOA at the age of 71 and I had never been in a gym before. The staff was so nice that I joined that very day. I practiced for awhile but lost my routine and started skipping days so I hired the best personal trainer ever, Arlene Diamond. 8 months later I am 721/4 years and loving it! My posture, self-esteem and confidence have improved immeasurably. I even started taking piano lessons. Something I’ve wanted to do for years. My family has noticed the difference in my over-all appearance. Friends are jealous!! I am so proud of the weights I can handle now. Great Feeling! My balance was poor but has now improved. Arlene is really working on it. In closing, I would like to say that Personal training is necessary in so many ways. I have learned to engage my muscles, the proper way to breath, correct body form, posture and muscle control. I knew nothing of these actions before Arlene.

    I have a thinner mid-section. My body fat has lowered from 29% to 25.3%. My waist has gone from 34.5” to 31.25”, hips from 41” to 38.75” and thighs from 22.5” to 21”. But it’s not just my appearance, it’s being able to commit to going to the gym. Normally, I would not be able to stay with it at all. PT keeps me coming in and feeling like I am learning to work out on my own with proper form. I can now do push-ups! I am stronger and have more stamina with my 2 yr old. I’m more flexible bending over without my belly in the way. I feel more independent be-cause I am stronger and can do more. I tell people about PT all the time. I’ve never had results on my own. Training has pushed me to go further than I would normally would by myself. I also feel really comfortable training in an all women’s gym.

    PT has definitely improved my confidence level. I’ve always been petite but never “in shape”. Doing PT has allowed me to see what my body is capable of doing and looking the best it can. Even though I’ve always been petite, my clothes definitely do fit better! From my boyfriend to my family … everyone has noticed a difference in my body. I am definitely stronger than I have ever been. I got stronger in every single part of my body. When I started, I wanted certain areas to be different. Instead, my whole body got stronger and fitter.     I have been doing personal training for 8 months now. I have more energy and stamina. I sleep better, look better and feel better. I am much, much stronger. My balance and flexibility are greatly improved. All of these things add up to confidence. I cannot wear any of the clothes I was wearing eight months ago as they are too large. My old size 8 blue jeans were uncomfortably tight. Now, my new size 4 jeans are too loose. My blood pressure has always been low and continues to be. My cholesterol levels have gone from moderately high to very low. A recent bone density test showed improvement in terms of Osteopenia. No more need to take medication! I highly recommend personal training. Four of my friends have engaged in personal training. My goal is to be fit at sixty-four, seventy-four and eighty-four. I want to feel better than I look. I’m not trying to be an old aged center-fold; I just want to look at myself and be proud.

    My certifications and specialties have evolved into a semi-wide variety of fitness categories, such as: Guts and Butts, Step Intervals, Cardio Moves and intervals, Spin, Kick Boxing, Arms & Abs, Circuit Training, Aqua Aerobics, and The Bender Ball Method.

    Being AFAA certified, YogaFit certified, a marathon/triathlete competitor, and a weight training expert, I am looking to meeting all of you LOA members. I have a goal to help every woman I meet make the lifestyle choice to become the healthiest and most fit that they can be.
